Workshop on Information Security Awareness

(11th December 2009)

for

Government of India officials of National Academy of Statistical Administration,

Indian Coast Guard & Signal Intelligence(II)

The workshop was conducted in the Auditorium of CDAC, Noida at B-30, Sector 62 Noida. Banners depicting the same were put at the main gate & Auditorium. Sh. V K Sharma, Chief Investigator briefed all the members about the progress of ISEA Project at CDAC, Noida. All the distinguished guests were invited on dias and welcomed with a bouquet. Dr. N W Nerurkar(Dean Academics) formally welcomed all the members and addressed the participants. Sh. G V Raghunathan (Sr. Director & HOD(HRD), DIT, MCIT, Govt. of India) addressed the participants wherein he emphasized on the need of such workshops to be conducted more frequently. He then formally inaugurated the workshop.

Technical session of 2 hr duration was conducted by Ch A S Murty wherein he briefed the participants about Information Security principles, their need and importance, do's and don't's etc. when working on the Internet etc. During the session various questions were asked from the participants and the participant giving the correct answer was awarded. After this session, Mrs Lakshmi Kalyani briefed the participants about the e-security contents developed by CDAC, Noida under the project "Design and Development of e-learning contents for e-security solution Developers" of DIT, MCIT, Govt. of India.

At the end of technical sessions all the members were invited for high-tea.
