Workshop on Information Security Awareness
for Engineering Students
Venue: C-DAC JNTU Campus
Date: 6th February 2010, Saturday - 10:00 AM to 3:00PM
The workshop started with brief description of ISEA program and importance of ISEA workshop. Later the session started with Internet basics, latest news on online threats and how to trace the e-mail.
In the second session the basic concepts of Trojan horse, Denial of services, keyloggers and password attacks were discussed. Later at the end of the session demos were shown on safe searching, cyber bullying, spyware, safe web browsing.
In the afternoon session quiz was conducted and awarded winners with fabulous prizes.
Over all workshop was successful and C-DAC received good feedback.
